Dayton, O., July 17, 1917.

To Whom It May Concern: In December, 1912, I was the victim of a stroke of paralysis, the entire le£t side being affected. After more than four years of suffering, during the greater part of which time I was under a physician's care, I was advised by, an old-time friend (name furnished upon request') to try Hull's •Superlative Compound. Representative of the Hull remedy had arranged with the Dayton News for an advertising campaign, and had. of course, explained the benefits to be derived from its use, and, knowing my physical condition, my friend asked them to call on me. He told them that "if yon can put'Murray on his feet you will have done a wonderful thing." That's what Hull's Superlative Compound did —put me on my feet.

When I started taking Hull's I jujt my physician. Several weeks later I met him on the street, and Jie greeted me with: "Well, you sure do not look like a. dead man."

The day my friend told me about Hull's 1 had met him at fifth and Ludlow, and had asked for and re

joyed by all. The music for the occasion was furnished by the Demlng orchestra* A large number of the members of each of the other literary societies were present,! as well as a number of the faculty of the school.

Mrs. Joseph McKibten was hostess Monday for her luncheon club which meets every other week at the Hotel Demlng. After rtie luncheon, the members went to Mrs. McKibbt-n's home on South Center street, where the afternoon was spent, in plaving bridge. Those present, were Mesdames John Heath Hewitt. Theodore W. Barhydt, Robert WallceA Louis Ott. Bruce Bindley, Frank WorthhiRton, Stewart Rose. Willam M. Myers and Josephus Collett Davis.

The piano pupis of Mrs. C. W. Otis gave an enjoyable recital Saturday afternoon at the iabe Davis music room, 1618 South Center street. The class was assisted by the members of the Chain! nade club. 'Following the program, the club held a rehearsal. .They are practicing for the concert to be given on May 16 for the benefit of the Red Cross society. No ,admission fee will be (harped, but a Bilvef offering will be taken.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Roberts entertained with a euchre party Saturday evening at their home. 2422 South Eighth street, in honor of Mrs. Roberts' sister, Mrs. Ford Woods. of Pillsburv. 111. The' house was beautifully decorated in flags and flowers. The prizes were awarded to Mr. Carl Gott. Mrs. George Sample and Charles Duke. After the games a delicious hot ^luncheon was served.
