TWO BOOTLEGGERS HELD.

First Arrests Made for Prohibition Law Violations In Terr# Haute. Within less lttaan twenty-four hours kfter the "spins Into effect of the state prohibition law, two persons were arrested on & bootlegging charge, by the local police department. Gerard Johnson, ?2 years old and Dorothy Johnson, SO years old, were the first to feel the ,'*! ^ftvlng of the law when they were arrested by Sergeant Barry and Patrolmen Haley and Jarvls at 219 Eagle street. Johnson is charged with giving away liquor In violation of the prohibition law, and Mrs. Johnson Is charged with selling liqudr and with operating a house of ill fame.
