FALL CARNIVAL OPENS TODAY AT K0CKVI11E
Horse and Colt Show Among Features on Program.'—B. B. Adams in Charge of Contests.
By Special Correspondent. ROCKVILLE, Irtfi., Oct. 3.—The fall carnival opened today under the auspices of the Rockville business men and will continue until Saturday evening. A. A. Hargrave is president G. C. Miller, treasurer C. E. Lambert, secretary F. R. Calvert concessions D. L. Williams, director of. dances D. H. Ott, music Jerome Meacham, decorations. The Rockville, Bellmore and Dering, Clinton, bands will play for different programs.
Free attractions are being held and exhibit* of different kind's are on display. A horse and colt show will be glveip. All the contests are under the supervision of B. B. Adams, county agricultural agent.

Meeting Here Eriday Night Expected To Be Signal for Big Turnout.

ness and squareness and his wise administration of the affairs of the great organization which he represented attracted attention to him, not only from labor but from capital as well, and his mental abilities and moral influence have been frequently called for by both labor and capital in the arbitration of labor disputes.
Mr. Wilson was later called to the president's Cabinet by President Woodrow Wilson, and his administration of that department and his development of the work as one of the fundamental patts of the government.
The Wilson meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus hall, and it is expected that Secretary Wilson will be greeted by one of the largest crowds of the campaign.
Other Meetings.
The principle® of democracy and the accomplishments of the present democratic administration under the leadership of President Wilson were discussed at six meetings throughout the county Monday night and at each of the meeting the speakers were heard by large audiences which gave voice to their appreciation of the legislation passed by the democratic congress which has resulted In the prosperity now enjoyed all over this country.
At each ®f the meetings the voters were admonished to register on October 9, in order to be entitled to vote in the general election.
A. A. Beecher and Perry Douglass spoke tb a crowd estimated at 200 in t^urran's hall in precinct A of the Sixth ward. Mr. Beecher dealing with the national issues and Mr. Douglass with the state and county matters and closed with an appeal to get out the voters on' registration d,ay.
C. S. Batt spoke of the national affairs, James Gossom on the new registration laws and Andy Powers on the effect of the recent democratic legislation on the working people of the country at an enthusiastic meeting at First street and Washington avenue in precinct of the First ward.
J. H. Swango and John -Ratcliife spoke before the meeting in of the Third ward at Seventeenth and Hulman streets.
The meeting of the democratic voters of Younpstown and the surrounding territory was addressed by Judge john Gerdink and Frank Crawford, Mr. •Crawford speaking of local conditions and the registration laws. Mr. Gerdink reviewed the accomplishments of the democratic party in power.
Thomas Gallagher and Thomas O'Mara spoke at Michael's hall in St Mary's before an enthusiastic audience.
Charles Benjamin, of Terre Haute, spoke in No. 1 school house near Atherton and was heard by a very en thusiastic audience.
