ENTERS IKE A THIEF IN DEM OF THE RIGHT
Devoid of All Pity, Catarrh Fastens Its Clutch on Its Victims Unawares.
Catarrh is one of the most prevalent of all diseases- Why? Because it steals upon its victim like a thief in the night. Td be forewarned is to be forearmed and ready to combat the condition, but catarrh gives no warning.
Before you know it you have catarrh. Catarrh usually is very hard to overcome.
Catarrh, affects almost every organ in the body and will finally produce a condition known as systemic catarrhs The circulation becomes poor and the organs suffer. The patient has a general despondent feeling. Sometimes catarrh resembles chronic malaria and again it resembles nervous prostration. The kidneys become affected, and the bladder and the stomach. Then come indigestion, pains and cramps after eating, kidney affections which so frequently cause backaches, especially upon arising in the morning, and many other ills too numerous to mention.
At the first sign of catarrh you
i
should do something to check its course. The most reasonable, rational treatment is with a tonic one that will aid digestion, enrich the blood and build up the muscles.
Hundreds of thousands of people have proclaimed Tanlac ah excellent remedy for catarrh. First aid should be through the stomach, causing good digestion arid from this "hot bed" of human ills, good influence is sent to every portion of the body. Tanlac is composed entirely of vegetable ingredients selected for their purity and potency and gathered in many parts of the world.
Tanlac may be obtained in Terre Haute at Buntin Drug Co. Tanlac may be obtained in the following nearby cities: Seelyville, Mont E. Taber Brazil, Mendenhall & Artman Carbon, J. H- Throsp Cory. E5A. SAYS FRICK
Declares That Pulse of Trade' Is Strong In Nearly Every Department At Present.
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 22.—Prosperity in the United States is not contingent upon the European war, according to Henry Clay F*rick. Mr. Frick was in Pittsburgh on a hasty visit yesterday to inspect his new Union Arcade ^building, and last night voiced his confidence in the continuance of good times. "While the present excessive prospreity in the country may be dependent to some extent upon the war, I believe that conditions will continue good," said Mr. Frick. "The domestic demand for steel and other industrial products is very encouraging."
The only danger Mr. Frick d'peribed was labor troubles. He admitted that the railroad crisis was apparently at an end, "unless," he added, "the Adamson bill is found unconstitution al, which is not altogether improb j-able." i "All in all, the financial, industrial and general situation is Just splendid i we could not wish for better," he aeclared.
Speaking of the war, Mr. Frick said there was no immediate prospect of peace. "The hostilities are certain to drag on and on—at least for a year and a half more," he predicted.

RAILROAD MAN EVANGELIST.
Rev. Lewis Delivers An Interesting Series of Lectures Here. A large congregation was present last night at the Walnut Street Free Methodist church to hear Evangelist Lewis preach from the subject of "Spiritual Discernment." The Rev. Mr. Lewis based his remarks on the text found in I Cor. 2:14, saying in part, that the natural man has ever been a stranger to God and ever would be unless revelation came to his help. He

further stated that right answers to hard problems were not given by flesh and blood, but it was given to the Peters of the world to solve them, by whfbm revelation was given of the father who is in heaven. The evangelist dwelt specifically upon the needs of the new birth emphasizing the words of Jesus to Nicodemus in the third chapter of St. John's gospel. He also gave a running account of his own experience,' how that God had found him a sinner, having no hope and without God in the world, eleven years ago, and converted him the transformation being so complete, that God took him from the engine cab and put him in the pulpit. At the close of the sermon a beautifully spirited altar service was participated in, around which all the praying people that were present gathered and united their prayers for the success of the revival
