NOTICE OF PRESENTING A PETITION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A HIGHWAY IN PRAIRIETON
TOWNSHIP. Notice Is hereby given that J. M. Robertson et al, have filed a petition, asking for the improvement of a certain highway in Prairieton township, Vigo county, Indiana, and that at the time of filing said petition the auditor fixed Saturday, September 30, 1916, as the day for hearing before the board of commissioners. Said petition as filed being in the words and figures following: To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of Vigo county, Indiana:
The undersigned petitioners being more than fifty (50) in number, would respectfully show and represent to tiio board that they and each of them are freeholders and voters in Pl-airieton township, "Vigo county, Indiana, and that there are more than one hundred and fifty (150) freeholders and voters in said township, and that said township does not contain an incorporated town or city containing a population of 30,000 or more inhabitants.
Your petitioners are interested in the improvement of a certain road in said township, hereinafter more particularly described and set out, in the specifications, and to be known as the J. M. Robertson road, said road being less than three (3) miles in length and lined wholly within said Frairieton township.
And your petitioners would further represent and show that the following, described road in said township, as hereinafter specified and set out, be improved by grading, graveling or paving with stone or any other paving or macadamizing material and the road hereby petitioned to be improved is to be constructed under provisions of an act of the general assembly of the state of Indiana, entitled, "An Act Concerning the Construction of Free Gravel, Stone or Other Macadamized Roads nnd for the Payment of the Costs Thereof and Tneir Maintenance and Declaring an Emergency," approved on March 9, 1903, the same being by its provisions supplemental to an act approved March 11, 1901, and being entitled, "An Act Concerning the Location and Construction of Free Gravel, Stone or Macadamized Roads, Providing for the Funds to Pay for the game and for Their Maintenance and Providing for the Repeal of Other Acts Touching the Same Subject Matter, and Declaring an Emergency." .And your petitioners would further represent and show that the improvement of the said. J. M. Robertson et al road hereinafter more particularly described, connects with the Rigney free gravel road at its beginning and ter--minates with the west line of Prairieton township.
This road hereby petitioned to be improved is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the end of the Rigney fres srravel road at a place known as the "Blue Hole," in section 33, tOM-nship 11 north, of range 10 west, in Prairieton township, and running thence in a southwestwardly direction along by and continuous to the Wabash river for a distance of two and ninety-nine one hundredths (2.99) miles, to a point at the west line of Prairieton township said road being two and ninetv-nine one hundredths (2.99) miles in leneth

NOTICE FOR BIDFF^T^HbTX£TERATION OF AND ADDITION TO TWO DISTRICT SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN
FAYETTE TOWNSHIP* OF VIGO COUNTY, INDIANA. Notice is hereby given that the undersigned school trustee, of Fayette township of Vigo county, together with the advisory board of said township, will receive sealed bids and proposals until *wo (2) o'clock p. m., Monday, September 25, 1916, at the office of said trustee in said township, for the alteration of and addition to two district school buildings, including the furnishing of the material therefor. Bids will be received for the alteration of and addition to the two buildings as a whole, and, also, for the alteration, of and addition to the two buildings separately.
Notice is further given that the plans, specifications and detail drawings for the said work are now on file at the office of the trustee, also at the office of Johnson & Miller, architects, at 105 South Seventh street, Terre Haute. Indiana, and may be inspected by prospective bidders. All work done and materials furnished shall be in accordance with the said plans and specifications.
Each bid for the alteration of and addition to the two said buildings shall be accompanied by a certified check on some responsible bank or trust company, in the sum of one hundred ($100) dollars, payable... to the undersigned school trustee, as a- ,guaranty that if the maker is the successful bidder that he will enter into a contract "With the undersigned school trustee for the immediate construction and completion of the said work, or so much thereof as may be awarded to him, and will execute a bond, with surety, to the approval of the said trustee in a sum equal to the amount of his accepted bid, for the payment of all sub-con-tractors, material men and laborers, and for the faithful completion of the said work according to the said contract. But one check in the sum of one hundred ($100) dollars will be required from each bidder.
If any bidder, upon being awarded the contract for the said work, or any part thereof, in accordance with his bid, shall fail to enter into a' contract with the undersigned, for the completion of the said work, and also to give such 'bond, then the said school trustee shall be entitled and authorized to forfeit such certified check, and to place the same in the funds of the said school township as liquidated damages for such failure. Checks of the unsuccessful bidders will be promptly returned to the bidders.
All bids must comply with the form prescribed by the state board of. accounts of the state of Indiana, triform bid blanks m4y be had of either the school trustee or the architects.
The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. Dated this 2nd day of September. 1916.

In said county and state, that the undersigned will apply to the board of commissioners of Vigo county, state of Indiana, at their next regular October term, 1916, for permission to transfer the location of the retail liquor license, granted and now held by him, to sell at retail spirituous, vinous and malt liquors, with the privilege of .allowing the same to be sold and drahk on the following described premises, to-wit:
On the ground floor of the one-story frame building, in the front room, said room being 18x30 feet, fronting on Ehrmanndale road, situated 22 rods 10.6 feet west of the southeast corner of the west half of the southeast quarter of section 25, 13, 8, in Ehrmahndale, Nevins township, Vigo county, Indiana, and that your petltiorter is desirous of transferring the- location of aforesaid license, which is now in full force and effect upon aforesaid premises, to the following described premises, to-wit:
On the ground floor of the one-story frame building, in the front room, said room being 24x26 feet, fronting on a public highway, located on lots No. 20, 21 and 22, Ehrmann Coal company's second addition In Ehrmartndale, Nevins township, Vigo co-jnty, Indiana.

In the Vigo Circuit Court. In the matter of the estate of John E. Christy, deceased.
Notice is hereby given that Leory Christy, as administrator of the estate of John E. Christy, deceased, has presented and filed his account and vouchers in final settlement of said estate, and that the same will come up for examination and action of said Circuit Court, on the 20th day of September, 1916, at which time all heirs, creditors or legatees of said estate are required to appear in said court and show cause, if any there be, why said account and vouchers should not be approved.
