Girls Falls Out of Auto.

By Special Correspondent. BLACKHAWK, Ind., Sept. B.-^-The little four-year-old daughter, Beulah, of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Laren, fell out of the auto while they were out driving. Her face and one arm were bruised.

CITY COUNCIL MEETS.

Matter of Transfer of Funds to be Considered. The regular monthly meeting of the city council, postponed from Monday night, will be held Tuesday night. An ordinance transferring more than $12,000 from the street improvement fund into the general fund, and returning from^the general fund more than $9,000 back to the street Improvement fund will be introduced. This win b« done on recommendation of the state field examiners to straighten out deficits in the street improvement funds occasioned since 1891 by loss of interest on assessments paid before due.

Should City Clerk George Moorhead fell to return from a trip to Kentucky the meeting will again be postponed.

William Tietge, 42 Prairleton avenue, was painfully Injured Sunday night when he was thrown from his motorcycle at the E. & I. railroad crossing at First and' Hulman streets: The railroad crossing, the police say, is In bad. shape, leaving a drop of many inches from the rails to the street. The machine was badly damaged.

ACCUSED

OF THEFT.

Raymond Knott, 13 -yearn old, 623 North Thirteenth and One-half street Roy Parse, 11 years old John Taxton, 10 years old, 1339 Spruce street, and John Molley, 12 years old, were placed in the hands of Probation Officer Bailey, Monday, following their arrest Sunday night on charges of burglarizing a store at Fourteenth street and Liberty avenue.

THIEVES RANSACK HOME.

the residence of W. W. Pugh, Thirteenth, and One-half street and Margaret avenue, was entered early Monday morning and ransacked. The thieves stole three silver spoons, three silver knives, $1.25 in money and $1 in old coins. The theft was reported to the police.

COUET CALLS DOCKETS.

It was announced in the Circuit Court that civil docket for the September term will be called Wednesday. The criminal docket was called Tuesday and preparations were made for the disposal of a number" of the state cases.

The national, alliance, Daughters of Veterans, will meet at Memorial hall, Wednesday, September '6, at 2 p. m., to transact business.
