We've had an expression of the military In suits and other bits of wearing apparel but not until the present have we had with us the war bride's veil. It has another name which sounds a trifle more uppish perhaps—the Newport veil. But because it so much resembles the eternal—sometimes—vows, war bride seems the most appropriate name.
These veils come in all chiffon, lace and chiffon or silk net. The colors are of course a navy blue and gold combination purple and gold lace, taupe and black. A number of them are caught together in the middle with a button and the button is attached to the middle front of the hat the long ends draped partially back and allowed to fall down the back to the waist line. Others are not caught with the button, giving freedom—for those who wish it—to draw the filmy protection over the face.
Remember a long time ago—when I you and I ^ere in the chart class and a little above in school—the worsted dresses we wore? My, we were proud of them. Then we had lace trimmed, waisted aprons with huge sash bows in the back, and our mothers thought we were. Just too "cute for anything."
The worsted dress for children is being resurrected. Eary season's showing displays that mother is not

one whit ahead of the eight or ten year old. The Uttle lady's dress may be of plain blue serge a combination of serge and silk In the same colors a plain serge and plaid silk or an entire plaid silk affair with velvet coatee effect. Most of these little dresses shown have the little jacket effect, however. They really look like .big sister's dresses in miniature.
But I'm inclined to think that aprons will not be worn over these striking little dresses to hide their beauty or protect them from soil. The tiny misses wouldn't stand for it.
REORGANIZE CHURCH.
Church members of Central Terre Haute have decided upon the reorganization of the civic church, it wa? stated Tuesday. At a meeting held Sunday night at which plans for the reopening of the church were discussed five new members were added to the roster and it was definitely decided to hold regular services. G. II. Elsberry presided at the meeting.
