CRASH DELAYS MPS HERE
Continued From Page One.
at least one of the soldiers were seriously injured and that others wiere slightly wourtded, but that all of them were carried aboard the other cars of the train and their names could not be learned. These reports were contradicted, however, by railroad employes who were on the scene and by the other members of the company who said no one had been hurt further than a little shaking up.
They said their train was not running fast and the time the caboose struck their rear coach and after the first shock the body of the car dropped to the track and bumped on the ties until the train was brought to a stop.
Many Trains Go Through. Militia troops from the eastern states en route to the Mexican border continued to pass through the city on the Big Four lines all day Wednesday. Following the two trains at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, were two more trains of twenty-five cars each, one at 9:15 o'clock and the other about 10 o'clock.
Both carried infantry from New York state with all equipment. Each train carried about fifteen coaches filled with the soldiers, and ten flat and box cars, filled with the equipment. The last train at 10 o'clock was part of the New York hospital corps, with equipment for field hospitals.
Both trains carried from five to ten provision wagons but no horses or mules. The men said horses would be procured at the border. Each train carried a "mess" car, including the stoves and other equipment fpr furnishing the meals.
The Big Four officials said that there was nothing definite as to more trains, with the exception that they would continue to pass through the city at all hours of the day.
The Seventh infantry, New York national guard, numbering about nineteen hundred, passed through the city Wednesday night about .9:30 o'clock over the Vandalia lines, enroute to the Mexican border. While the trains took on water here a large crowd of citizens conversed with the soldiers.
The trip was made from New York to Indianapolis in day coaches but at the latter place they were given sleepers. Sergeant Chas. Auffertt, of Company B, said the patriotic spirit displayed by the local citizens was the best shown In any of the cities that they had passed through.

"CAN'T CUT OFF MY LEG" SAYS RAILROAD ENGINEER
"I am a railroad engineer about 20 years ago my leg was seriously injured in an accident out West. Upon my refusing to allow the doctor to amputate it I was told it would be impossible to heal the wound. I have tried all kinds of salves and had many doctors in the past 20 years, but to no avail. Finally resolved to use PETERSON'S OINTMENT on my leg. You cannot imagine my astonishment when I found it was doing what over 100 things had failed to do. Mv leg is now completely cured."—Gus Hauft, 799 Myrtle Ave.. Brooklyn, N. Y. "It makes me feel proud to be able to produce an ointment like that," says Peterson. "Not only do I guarantee Peterson's Ointment for old sores and wounds, but for Eczema, Salt Rheum, Ulcers, Itching Skin and Blind, Bleeding or Itching Piles, and I put up a big box for 25 cents, a price all can afford to pay and money back from vour druggist if not satisfied." NO HYPHEN HERE.
Among the officers of the "Fighting Seventh" of New York, which -went through Terre Haute last night, were such names as. O'Brien, Mulcahy, Donovan, Schmilz and Blumberg, which would seem to indicate that the hyphen that Colonel Roosevelt complains so much about is not much of a plague where the "Fighting Seventh" camc from.
