JATUG GIRL HEARS ABOUT SEASON'S STYLE

Plaids and Stripes Vie for Favor and As for Colors, There's No Law Against 'Em.

By Nora Ragsdale.

Bathing suits to suit all figures: lathing caps and hats to fit all faces. These were the newest things shown »n the shop windows Monday. They were not so loud as former years have seesn them but were more stunning in style and color combinations.

One window showed an assortment

of styles and materials, the latter being silk, poplin and jersey. A number of the silk suits, except for the skirt length, might have been mistaken for dresses, so mild in tone and construction. One suit was of plaid silk, made on the bias, banded at the bottom and about the sleeves with plain blue silk and held in plaee at the waisi Dy a blue cord. Another w^s of blue silk finished with white scallops bloomers with cuffs fastening below the knee were shown with it.

There were a number of black and white combinations, combined quite modestly, however. For example, one stunning gown of black silk was finished with a tiny white piping, just enough for a finish.

The jersey suits were Just anoui as in previous years, except that the colors in these, too, were far from iotous.

We have had caps and caps for bathing purposes. But broad brimmed hats will meet the needs or Terre Haute women who expect to spend vacations ^at the seashore. These wide brimmed affairs, coming in gray and blue for most part, are of rubber. They have full crowns of a tam-o'-shanter style, and are finished with rubber daisies. Then there are caps with Ion? bills, caps that are sipmly tight, plain fitting, and caps with wide bands. The caps show the most color to be seen: all kinds of combinations having been woven into their making.

MiNY ENJOY EOAT EEDE.

Eighty couples accompained the "Blackville Maidens" under Mrs. Rose Braniff-Walsh on their outing up the Wabash river Monday evening. The steamer and the barge were anchored about three miles north of Fort Harris son where the musical program was rendered. The return trip was spent in dancing.

If You Suffer From Pulmonary Troubles

It is most important that you should pay especial attention to diet and living and conditions, and get plenty of rest and fresh air day and night. In many instances, lives claimed by su-ch affections might have been saved by timely care of this sort. Frequently, however, a weakened system needs assistance.

Under these circumstances, try Eckman's Alterative, a lime treatment which has the unique quality of being easily assimilated by the average person.

It is a widely-used preparation, which has effected beneficial results in many cases of severe pulmonary affections.

In any event, it may be tried without risk or danger. It contains no opiates, narcotics or habit-forming drugs. Sold by Arthur Baur and leading druggists.
