GAMBLING AT CLINTON GIN JIT BV MID
Warrants Are Served on Three Alleged Gaming Hooia Operators —Each Give $100 Bond.
By Special Correspondent. CLINTON, Ind., March 18.—Gambling was given a jolt when warrants were served on three places ondhargea filed in the circuit court, and later Joe Green's place, in the rear of the Club barber shop, was raided by Deputy Sheriff Harry Jones and Constable Ewing.
The warrants served were on Chas. W. Davis, who, it is 'said, operates a gambling room in the Marshall' Hotel block Virgil Rife, said td be in charge of a gambling room in the Clinton Hotel block, and Joe Green. It is also said that a warrant has been issued for, the keeper of a place over the saloon at Main and Mulberry streets, but this has not been served.
The men arrested each gave bond for .1100. Evidence in these cases was secured by detectives hired by the Clinton law enforcement league.

Woman Faces Charge.
By Special' Correspondent. CLINTON, Ind., March 18.—A Mrs. Lochre, a Scotch woman, was bound over to the circuit court, Friday, oti a charge of grand larceny. The woman is said to have picked up a pocketbook containing $87, and which belonged to Andy Saoko, an Austrian. The man lost the purse some time ago and a boy claims that he saw the woman pick it up. She. denies the charge. The trial was held hefore Justice Hixon, at Bunsen.
