Y„ March 3. The

^nachlnlsts' strike situation here remained unchanged today. Representatives of the employers claimed that the backbone of tho strike had been broken, while union lealera asserted that the full powers of the men had not been exerted. Estimates as to the number of men out varied with the viewpoint, the employers admitting not over 700, and the union officials claiming 1.200.

With the lockouts at the plant of the Pierce Arrow Motor Car company, over 5,000 men are out of work on account of tho strike.
