Prejudice Against Hair Removing

a

Thing of the Past

Hew much Influence has "dress" upon custom or prejudice? For answer look around you some evening In the ballroom, restaurant, or on the stage, and notQ tbe women in their modish, sleeveless frocks, or tbe sheer, transparent blouses. Observe how uniformly clean are their arms, and their graceful freedom of motion. This is because they are entirely free from hair under the tnu, and the most refined, conservative women have no longer any best* tancy about removing it

The quickest, simplest, and safest way to remove hair from the face, Up, neck, or arms Is by an Application of JJli Rado, tbe Sanitary Liquid Hair Remover. All yon have to do is to saturate the hair thoroughly with a little El Rado, and in few moments the hair becomes harmlessly dissolved. Yon then tvnsb with a little plain water and the hair is all gone, while tbe skin Is toft in a perfectly smooth, clear condl:lon,

Any form of cutting or shaving undesirable hair Is most unwise, as this not only Increases the growth, but roarseait It. El RacJo is more simple to nse—.there Is no mussing with powders or pastes—it removes the oalr for a mucn longer period, and the hair keeps becoming finer instead of coarser with each application.

El Rado is sold in 60c and $1.00 sires at leading Drug and Department stores with the distinct understanding that the money is to be refunded if not satisfactory. Buy a bottle of El Rado and try It to-night Take nothing else. it you prefer we will gladly fill your order by mall direct, In plain wrapper, if you will write enclosing stamps or coin. M'KEEN TO TRAVERSE DIXIE BEE LINE SOUTH

Terre Haute's Commissioner Will Take Part In Final Selection of Route for Road.

Terre Haute's Dixie bee line commissioner, Charles S. McKeer., will leave on a tour of the route from Terre Haute to Nashville next Saturday. He will be accompanied by Mrs. McKeeii and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Blgwood.

The meeting of the Dixie bee line district commissioners will be held at EvanBville Nov. 4 and at this meeting the official route for the highway from Danville, 111., to Jacksonville, Fla., will be chosen. Mr. McKeen will return from Nashville in time to attend this meeting and to take part in the work, part of which he has ably performed. The highway will come direct from Evansville to Terre Haute and a choice of routes will probably be made between the roads leaving Terre Haute going north to Danville, both the Paris road and the Clinton road having been surveyed and recommended. Mr. McKeen said Friday: "This matter is of great Importance to Terre Haute, The establishment of this road anrl its maintenance as a good thoroughfare from north to south Will bring a great amount of travel in this direction and it means, aside from its economic importance, a matter of dollars and cents to Terre Haute. I would like to see a good sized Terre Haute delegation in the Evansville convention."

PLANS STREET CLEANING.

Commissioner Unison Launches Systematic Campaign. John I. Unison, the new street commissioner, has mapped out an eortenslva street cleaning plan, which will have to be taken up step by step.

At present the street flushers are In the shops for repairs, and beginning probably next Monday night, Mr. Unison says, Wabash avenue will be flushed every night, after midnight, from Second street to Thirteenth street. The commissioner a»?Us the co*. operation of the merchants, requesting them to see that the sidewalks are swept clean before midnight.

The alleys between Wabash avenue and Ohio and Cherry streets will be cleaned regularly, and Unison asks that the merchants aid by putting what rubbish they can in containers, that it may be gathered more easily. At regular intervals all of the outlying streets will be cleaned with the sweeping machines, whieh also are being repaired.

There are ordinances against raking leaves from lawns into paved streets and burning leaves on paved streets, which Unison says must be obeyed.

Miss Farrar, who gives a recital this afternoon and later will sing at least five times for Mr. Campanni, was offered—and she refused—$2,000 to sing two numbers from "Carmen" at the first public showing of the film based on that opera. The movie managers are pikers. Mr. Neumann pays Miss Farrar $4,000 for this afternoon's appearance.
