.Ever since we opened our little dry goods shop down Wabash avenue a piece, we have been building, step by step, a business that has become what we set out to have it—the greatest in our line in Terre Haute—with every department a "specialty shop." Some of our progress was marked by strenuous effort, but the one great move we attempted and which we felt might be the hardest to accomplish, has been the easiest—to make our second floor the most popular garment department in Terre Haute to increase our sales of women's outer and under wearing apparel until it should stand at the head. In a few short years we have accomplished this, and we mean to keep the lead—it's the simplest thing we have to perform. We're full of the idea our entire organization never feit more keen and fit for it. Our stocks were never .more attractive. This determination on our part means a lot to you—more important than appears at first glance. It means, that in order to hold this supremacy we must show the most attractive merchandise obtainable and must give far stronger values than can be obtained elsewhere.
