LATE NIGHT WADERS CHASED FROM PARKS

Board Also Decides to Cut Down Expenses—More Light In Steeg Park.

Following the summer season all •park superintendents and employes will be discharged under a decision reached at a meeting of the park board in the office of City Engineer Kattmann Tuesday afternoon. Hereafter no men will be employed for park work regularly but will be employed by clay only when there is work to be done.

The commissioners vot«d to install eight concrete poles for electric lights in Steeg park and to purchase a drinking fountain for the same park. Orders were issued prohibiting the use of the public wading pools later than 9 o'clock, this action being taken following numerous complaints of young men and women wading late at night.

The board also determined to put in a tennis court at Rose park, Fifteenth and Locust streets, and work on this will begin this week.

Wednesday morning, Supt. of Parka Frank Kattmann announced that the lawn mower would be supplied by the Freitag-Weinhardt company for $108.

POLICE LOCATE HE GO.

Efforts were being made by the police Wednesday morning to locate a druggist in the city named He"' as word was received from Denver Tuesday night that his son, Kenneth M. Hegg, has committed suicide after efforts to effect a reconciliation with his wife failed. The police learned that Hegg lives in Covington, Ind.
