Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Flats enter t&ined Thursday evening at the Filbeck hotel. The early part of the evening was spent in playing euchre in the hotel parlors, after which a Dutch sup per was served in the main diningroom of the hotel. Prizes were a»varded Mr, And Mrs. Jack Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Einecke and Mirs.' David Kiefner.

The parlors and tables were adorned with bouquets of carnations, roses and sweetpeas.

Marie Sundelius, soprano soloist with the Minneapolis orchestra this season, is one of the leading soprano recital artists of the day. Miss Sundelius is being booked in many of the big artists' courses in the eastern cities. She is said to have one of the roost beautiful and pleasing voices of the present day. The Minneapolis symphony orchestra, which ranks along with the leading orchestras of the day, will appear in concert at the Grand on the evening of May 20. Miss Alma Beck, contralto, who is well known among local musicians, will be one of the soloists upon this occasion.

There is much interest in the comklff of the Minneapolis orchestra to tha Grand as this is the ftrst large musical organization to appear in the city this year. In addition to the vocal soloists the orchestra boasts of two of the best string soloists traveling today in Cornelius Van Vliet, 'cellist, and Richard Czerwonky, violinist.

The marriage of Miss Sylvia Marie Wilson to Harry A. Doerner was solemnized Thursday morning at St. Benedict's church, the Rev. Father Ferdinand Meyer officiating ui» presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The bride was attended by Miss Mary Murtaugh and the best man was Peter Sheidel. The bride wore a traveling suit of blue satin cloth with harmonizing accessories and she caried a bouquet of white Killarnsy roses. The bridesmaid wore a suit of blue broadcloth, a picture hat and she carried pink Killarney roses.

Following the ceremony and congratulations a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bridegroom, after which the bridal couple left on an eastern trip.

Mr. Doerner and bride will be at home after May 6, at 1561 Liberty avenue.

0 Mrs. Dorcas Castle, who spent several weeks here visiting her sisters, .^he Misses Lizzie and Emma Hall and Rirother, Albert Hall, of Chestnut street, has returned to her home in Boston.

Mrs. Castle accompanied her daughrter, Miss Edith Castle, to Terre Haute, and remained for a visit with her reia^ tives. Miss Castle returned to Boston the next day after her concert at the Hotel Deming after cancelling all of her engagements in the west owiag to a severe attack of tonsillitis.

BAR ASSOCIATION TO MEET.

Matter of New Organisation Expected to Be Taken Up. A special meeting of the Vigo County Bar association will be held at 4:30 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Chamber of Commerce. Important matters will be discussed, and a large attendance is expected. It is thought the matter of the formation of another bar association, which waa announced by some of the attorneys a week ago, will be taken up at the meeting.
