By Special Correspondent. HUTTOOT, Ind, April 3.—The last day of school was largely attended at Hxttton. The people of this vicinity gathered at the school at noon and a dinner was spread. A surprise waa given the teachers after the dinner. A march was given by the fives of the primary room under the direction of Miss Ethel Hnnt, teacher. The room of Mr. Edgar Hunt gave a program during the afternoon.

The origin of the ftre is unknown, Btartlng In a smoke houae at the rear of the building. The house and oontentB were covered by $1,000 insurance. The losfe was about $2,000.

CHRISM AN, 111., April 2.—No clue to the whereabouts of J. L. McKinney, who mysteriously disappeared from his home in Scottland, three miles east of here, last 'Saturday, has been received by his relatives or officials.

Tn Cltv Court Friday morning, the case of James Smith, colored, charged with larceny, was continued until next Thursday morning.
Thomas Reese, charged with intoxication, was allowed to go, while John Kelley, up on tho same charge, was still a "little under the weather," and Judge Douglass set his hearing for Monday.
John Hepworth, Edward Graham, Fred Kssler and Harry Ward, charged with vagrancy, were all dismissed.
The case of Truss Jacobs, charged with assault and battery on Fred Clouse, was dismissed. Both parties live in Sand Burr hollow.
