Mrs. W. C. Palmer, of Collett Park place, left Friday for Fort Riley, Kansas, where she will visit her brother, C. W. Searcey, and family. Mrs. Palmer will be accompanied as far as Kansas City by MIES Antoinette Frisz, who will continue the trip to San Fiancisco, Cal., for an Indefinite visit.

Mrs. John R. Hager, of Seattle, Wash., has planned to arrive in Terre Haute December 1 and remain until March with her mother, Mrs. John Hyde, and Miss Carrie A. Hyde, of North F.ighth street. Mrs. Hager, with her husband, Dr. Hager. and three children formerly lived In Terre Haute.

Mrs. B. F. McKeen, of North Eighth street, and daughter, Mrs. Warren Hussey, of North Seventh street, have returned from Asheville, N. C., where they spent a few days with the former's grandson, Frank Wilson McKeen. Mr. McKeen Is at Asheville for the benefit of his health.

Mrs. Anton Hulman entertained with an informal auction Thursday afternoon at her home on Chestnut street. Following the games a luncheon was served at the card tables.

The Rev. Alpheus Sanston, a native of India, will give a lecture Sunday night at the Penteoost church. Ninth street and Seventh avenue. He has chosen for his subject the way and customs of his native country.

Mrs. Catherine A. Streeter, of South Sixth street, was called to Indianapolis Thursday, owing to the critical illness of her father, Captain William H. Armstrong. Captain Armstrong was taken suddenly ill on Monday of pneumonia. I
