SOCKS CAUSED FAMILY JAR.
PHILAJDELPHLA, Pa., Sept. 25.— Just because his girl bride oould not provide him with a pair of socks at the moment he wanted them was one of the reasons nineteen-year-old Raymond Welch deserted his wife, He said so himself, when arraigned before Judge Boyle, in the Camden criminal court. Mrs. Welsh, who is a year younger than her husband, said that when he wanted his socks she could not get them, because she did not know just where they were.
In suspending the sentence on Welsh, and placing him under the care of a probation officer, Judge Boyle advised him to go back to his wife, and warned him that he would be severely punished If he failed to support hen.
