C. OF C. SftRETARV IS SWAMPED WITH MAIL
.v
Receives Correspondence, Prom All ?arts of Country Seeking Encampment Information.
Secretary E. H. Clifford, of the Chamber of Commerce, is fairly swamped with correspondence relating to the coming Pythian encampment. About the middle of the week Mr. Clifford expects to open headquarters at the camp and to devote most of his time to the work.
A letter was received from Capt. R. Bulman, of Akron Co., No. 21, U. R. K. of P., of Akron, O. statins that the lodge will attend the encampment with 22 men and three officers. The quartermaster and one sir knight will arrive in the city Saturday evening at 8:45 o'clock and will draw tentage and cots for the rest of the company Sunday. The remainder of the men will arrive in the city at 8:45 o'clock Monday evening.
Capt. Norris Bruce of Piedmont Co., No. 10, U. R. K. of P., of Piedmont, W. Va., has written that he and his men will arrive in the city at 4:01 o'clock Sunday afternoon and that they will need tents for 26 sir knights. This company is anxious to go into camp on Sunday night.
Brigadier General E. F. Dufand, P. S. R., of Columbus, O., has notified Mr. Clifford that he will arrive In the city Saturday and stay until the finish.
Bring Own Mess Tent.
Youngstown C., No. 42, U. R. K. of P., of Columbus O., will bring their own mess tents wih them. Capt. Fay W. Shackleton has written asking for lumber to build two tables three feet wide and thirty long with seats attached to them. He would like to have the tables built but says that if they are not his own men will build them after they arrive in the city if the lumber is at the camp for them.
George F. Little, of Rainier, Md., representing Washington Co. No. 1, of the District of Columbia, has written that he wants to engage a large room in which the men of the company can hang their uniforms after parades and drills. He also inquired as to prices of camp utensils and supplies such as cots, blankets, tincups, candle sticks, etc.
The Miller-Sparrow Co.. of Cleveland, O. has written and asked for the photographic rights for the camp. The company says that it has been granted these rights for the Ohio regiments by Colonels Minchul and Bremberger.

Michael Brown, who has appeared often in City Court, was up again Monday morning for release, having served a sentence for intoxication. He little resembled the Micky who was sent to jail some time. Micky showed evidences of z. clean shave, a bath and was '•sporting" a brand new suit of clothes, a clean shirt and a white collar. When arrested the last time his trousers vere minus a leg, the shirt lacked sleeves and he looked like the typical tramp'. He smiled at Deputy Prosecutor Foley when he was called for release and the prosecutor smiled back.

Bathe Your Blood Along With Skin
Unsightly Skin Troubles Will Soon Disappear
Along with a tub bath use S. S. S. for the blood. It bathes your blood, washes out impurities, gets deposits out of joints and muscles, converts impurities into a substance easily expelled. The skin responds quickly. All sore spots dry, a firm, dry scale or scab forms, new skin grows beneath, the scale falls off and you are rid of eczema, psoriasis, acne, tetter, boi's, carbuncles, pimples or any other skin afTliction. S. S. S. has a wonderful action in the network of fine blood vessels in the skin and if you would understand this better write to The Swift Specific Co., 112 Swift Bldg. for a valuable book "What the Mirror Tells."
It will tell you how the skin is but a fine network of blood vessels and why S. S. S. has such a wonderful influence.
Get a bottle of S. S. S. today of any druggist but do not be talked into a substitute. Beware of them. Around each bottle Is an illustrated circular suggesting how you may obtain valuable medical advice absolutely free. Get a Bottle of S. S. S. today.
MINE OFFICIALS FIND REPORTS EXAGGERATED
President Houston Says Administration Has Many Supporters in Linton Field.
William Houston, president of the United Mine Workers, District No. 11, went to Linton, Ind., Sunday afternoon to address a mass meeting of the miners of the field. A large crowd attended the mass meeting and Mr. Houston reported that the sentiment of the miners In the field favored the administration of the district officials. Several miners made criticisms of the administration at the meeting and President Houston took the floor in defense of the district officials.
In view of the fact that reports from the Linton field have been circulated to the effect that a majority of the miners were dissatisfied with the work of the district officials, Mr. Houston stated Monday that after a careful survey of the field he was satisfied that the majority of the men had no grievance against any district officer. The meeting was held in the Grand opera house and Mr. Houston was given much applause when he appeared to defend the diWrict officials against the charges of malfeasance which will be aired at a special district convention to be held in Terre Haute July 21.
