John Feiler and Ira Newhouse Before Judge Piety—Have Been Sleeping in a Barn.
John Feiler and Ira Newhouse who were arrested last night and sent to jail on a charge of incorrigibility were given a hearing before Judge Piety in the Circuit court this morning. The testimony showed that the boys will neither go to school nor remain at home and that for the past two months they have been sleeping at a livery stable on North Ninth street and eating just what they could beg. Their fathers claim that they have done all in their powrer for the boys but that they

er of the Newhouse boy is dead and he lives or pretends to live AVitli his father and another brother who is a little older and a little more incorrigible than himself. The Feiler boy has a home on South Thirteenth street but says that his step-mother abuses him and he can not stay at home. The judge has ordered that .Mr. and Mrs. Feiler be brought into court in the morning at which time he will dispose of both cases.
Suit Against Guardian.
Througn his attorney, B. V. Marshall George F. Jen ekes yesterday evening began suit in the Circuit court against Mary I. Jenckes guardian of May Isabello Jenckes. demanding that the sum of $4,,500 he paid over to plaintiff. The complaint states that Isabelle Jenckes executed two notes in favor of the plaintiff. one dated' March 22.1806. for $228, and one dated January 1. 1390, for $1,686 The plaintiff claims that there, is now due on these notes ft.?.000 for which amount judgment is a.«kcd. The plaintiff further states that $4,500 was advanced on order of the guardian for the care and support of the said Isabella. M. .Tenekes and asks the court to render judgment in favor of the plaintiff for that amount.
Change of Venue Asked For. The damage suit of William Hall against the Terre Haute street railway company was up in the Superior court for a time yesterday evening. The defendant asked for a change of venue, alleging that a fair and impartial hearing coifld-not be had "in Judge Stimsori's court-.—The petition will, of course be granted, and some other judrre, regular or special will be called The matter will be decided within the next day or so.
