' Direct—The conversation in the Police Court occurred several days ago. By tbe Board—Murphy promised her he would not file against or raid her house: he bad given information before that; information that the bonse waa to heralded in Jnly last was given to her doorkeeper; this was after tbe money was given to Murphy; Murphy had shown her favors on acconnt of s girl in the house who went by his name and who seldom was molested by the police, or had tqpsy a fine.
