If anything were needed to satisfy the pnblfa that thsfwlk * lack of entboaiaAm and confidence among the radicals of Indiana, the failure of the demonstration yesterday to come up to general expectation Is sufficient evidence to convince the most skeptical. TMB ARRIVALS.
at an early honr to welcome the first arrivals. As the first train came In squads of red-caps and red-breeches began to march through the streets, roost of them accompanied by music. Each train broiggit its -detachment, some larger and some smaller, until the streets were pretty well Jammed, and red caps gleamed here and there like flocks of woodpeckers in a cherry orchard. Most of the uniformed squads were youthful and beardless in appearpace, and didn’t look exactly like veteraMef a hundred fights. Generally they marched with a slinging, slonoby sort of gait, but some detachments we noticed seemed more soldierly in their bearing. Furious marshals, so full of the patriotic afflatus, that they iadto be tfed np in red strings to keep them from exploding like a cask of wild beer, galloped madly to and fro, without annua A m« —la^aaa 4d WfMfk AEh dAifa* mmwW HHDwMW wpwv '■HBMDW - Hw WHIV WR# WUHra - play their horsemanship. Prominent among the stragglers to and fro we no> tleed that obese patriot, Mr. August Richter, In a red cap and hie moat gorgeously raffled shirt. Another eilisen— not the Wickedest Man—drove leisurely to and fro In his elegant boggy. There wis very little genius displayed in ■uiform of t«e Fighting Warriors—nothing bat the eternal sad cap, ike everlasting white shirt, and the red or blue breeches, Home of the cape were diabolical attempts at the idtfaVc fox, and some of the red flannel breeches were baggy to s ridiculous extent, and displayed over rough cowhide boots. Many of the Fighting Boys from the extremely rnral districts seemed to be severely sfUieted with the Gredan bend. The meet striking character we Rotioed was a warrior in the Fayette delegation—a long-haired genins In rebel gray, who looked Hke a refugee from the “Tow down” regions of North Carolina. The most salient feature la his mike opt was-a shocking bad hat— a tell, nfarow-brlmmed caaeimore, greasy and wofally buttered. Many ef the patrkrta came In mounted, sitting their horses ee gracefolly, and presenting as warlike an appearance m a rebel critter company, newly raised fay conscription. RKD, WHtTU, BLACK ABO BLOB. A feature in the display wee the parade through the streets of e detachment of colored treepe who fought uaMg—nnuyad. in all the glory of a radical red cap, and bursting wtth entboeleem far Grant and Colfax. These eHhred warriors ire Anxiously and Impatiently looking forward to the time when their friends wlU give
them the right to vote.

By actual count, the number in the procession was tl fly one hundred and sixtyeight persons. We had several persons engaged at different points to obtain a correct coast, end their telly did not vary over fifty; we give the highest number reported. Included In the number noted, there were ninety-eight young ladles In wtgons; fifteen ladies representing the widows of Union soldiers; one thousand six hundred end seventeen beardless youths; the members of sixteen bends,' and eight wagon loads of negro men, women and children, . The precession was headed by one hunfired and seventy-two mounted “Fightlag” Boys in Blue. Next in order wm a brass band, followed by mounted officials, fantastic Sherman bummers, regimental -eolon, sad the different organisations of “Fighting” Boys in Blue, in the following order, taken by oountlee: Msrtoa, Delaware, Wayne, Wabash, Hendricks, Putnam, Morgan,-Boone, Vigo, Madison, Decatur, Fayette, Shelby, Henry, Miami and Johnson. After these various delegations, came thirty-three wagons,.four buggies contelnlng cltiMus, and a huge negro on horseback, whose duty, we presume, wm 4b act m marshal of the eight wagon loads of negroes who brought ap the rear. The ptoccssion wm Just forty minutes passing our office, Noticeable among the wagons were several containing young ladles, who kept t|p s constant clamor to “bang Seymour on a sur apple tree.” The highlit number of young ladles that we counted in any one wagon was eighteen. Most of these wagons contained but sixteen. Several wagons displayed the advertisements of tra4les and tnanufactures. Among these we noticed two cabibot •hops, a tannery, novelty works, wagon wop, woolen works, portable engine, Helping's wtKxlon soldier, and the Journal ce, tile lust named having a negro iver. I ' '
