"Numbers have already arrived from different parts of the country, and from what we have heard it will be a grand and ex ceedingly pleasant time. The attractions, a.-ide from the very limited expense of the trip, are mauy and real. Toledo, at which point the excursionists take passage on the beautiful floating palace Morning Star, i.s a city of consi.Ier.iblo notoriety and importance, and cannot be visited without interest and profit. Thence across the Lake, touching at Cleveland and Uuflalo, to the Falls,' a magnificent ride on one of the prettiest lakes in the world. At the Falls, ample arrangements have been made for the accommodation of all, and for amusements of various kinds. The excursionists will have all the time necessary to visit points of wonder and interest on both shores, boides attending parties arid hops which must necessarily come off, where so many feekers of pleasure do congregate. The return will be easy and pleasant, affording an opportunity to restore tired nature alter the utuemitting attention given to nature's great show, and the labors thereto attending. MEDICAL. dr. .io ii a mij;.i COMPOUND CEDRON BITTERS The I.jtest and Mot Important Discovery of the Nineteenth Century. VTO MAN'S NAME IS MORE INTIMATELY CONy nected with the history of the Materia Medica of the United States, o-more favorably known as a pioneer in medical discoxery, than that of JOHN BULL, of Louisville, Ky. His inimitable preparation of Sarsaparilla has long stood at the head of the various compounds of that valuable drug. His compound Pectoral of Wild Cherry has become a household word throughout the West and Sovth; and bis Worm Loenges, in less than a year after their introduction, attained a reputation as widespread at the continent of North America. Km the crowning glory o: his life remains to lie at'ained in hi latest discovery, or rather combination, for he does not claim to have been the diooverer of CEDRON, w hich is the basis of the hitters now offered to tlie public. That honor belongs to the native inhabitants oi Central America, to whom i s virtues have been known for more than two hundred years. Armed with it, the Indian bids defiance to thc most deadly malaria, and handles without fear the most venoinout serpents. It Is a belief w!th them that while there is breath left in the body the Cedron is potent to cure, no nutter what the dsea-e may be. While Dr. Bull is not prepared to indorse this extravagant pretension, he is nevertheless satifled from a thorouch examination of the evidence relating to its virtue, that, as a remedy anl preventive for all diseases arising from exposure either to changes of weather and climate or to the miasmatic influences, it stands without a rival, and Just'y de(rves the reputation it has so long eidoyed in Ceutral America ard the West Indie. In JB ""5kT w a- h: JH M TT m. audits attendant train of ryinptoros, it acts more like a charm than a medicine. There is nothing in the whole range of the Materia Medica that can fer a moment bear a companion with it in thiritM-rte. A full account of this wonderful plant may be found in the eleventh edition of the U. S. Dispensatory, page 13S7 and 13S.H. A series of experiments, in which Dr. Bull has been fr years engaged, has ju.t been brought to a inccessful termination, and h- is now enabled to offer to the public a combinatian of Cedron with other improved tonics, the whole preserved in thc lct quality of copper-distilled Bourbon whisky, which he ii confident has no equal in the world. He miht furnish a volume of certificates, bot the public have long sioce learned to estimate such things at their true value. The safest plan is for every one to tet for himself the virtues of a new medicine. Give the CEDRON BITTERS one trial, and you will never use any other. It is not necessary to publish a long list of disease for which the Cedron Bitters are a specific. In all diseases of the STOMACH, BOWELS, KIDNEYS, or LIVER: In all affections of the BRAIN depending upon derangement of the Stomach or Bowel; In GOUT, RHEUMATISM and NEURALGIA; And in FEVER AM) AGUE; It Is destined to auperaede all other rernedie. It not only cures all these dieae but it prevenU them. A wine-glas full of th Bitters taken an horr before each meal will obviate the i'l effects of the most unhealthy climate and acrrea the person taking it agaiokt dieae under the most trying exposure.
