Our correspondent says: "There is no benevolent enterprise that now has so ftrong a claim on the public as this, at the present time. It is wrong that the poor must depend, in most cases, on some physician, not only for attendance gratuitously, but he must, in m my cases, buy medicine also, or let the patient suffer. This rich city ought to furnish medicines for auch a need aid. not ak druggists or physicians to do it gratis." Mcsical. A splendid organ has jut been placed in the Third Presbyterian Church of tili city, by Mr. J. G. Marklove, of Utiea, New York, from whose extensive manufactory some of the finest instruments in this country hive been produced. This one, although of medium pize, ia pronounced, by the best judges in this city, to be a most superior instrument, and of marvelous power and brilliancy, as well as capable of producing the sweetest and most delicate tones concievable, comprising the beautiful viol le pamba, dulciana, meiodea, hautboy, flute, etc. We congratulate the people of the Third Church in the selection of their organ builder, and feel prom! that through their exertions so good an instrument has been put up in our city to add to its already fine musical capabilities.
