AS Three; I'nprr Mopped. The teiegraph informs us that the publication of the Iloston Journal, the New Yoik Sunday Mrreury and Journal of Commerce has leen suspended by order of the Secretary of War, and the editors and proprietor are to be sent to Washington for trial by court martial for having violated the 57th article of war, which reads thus: Art. 57. Whosoever hall be convicted of holding correspondence with, or giving intelligence to. the enemy, either directly or indirectly, eh all suffer death, or iuch other punishment as hall be ordered by the sentence of a court mar tial. The three papers suspended upou the charge of violating the foregoing article of war are not trictly partisan, but decidedly anti Abolition. If guilty of the alleged offense, we believe it to be technical and not intentional. All the leading Republican prints of the large cities are filled with intelligence in reference to the operations of the army, jet they escape unrebuked and unpunished for failing to observe the rule. The officers of the line tried to emulate each other in forwarding the good cause in whhli we are engiged, -and the men deserve the praie and congratulation of the whole country for t e cour age and efficiency exhibited on all occasion in the face of a desperate and unscrupulous toe. In consideration of the galling fire to which my ci'inni umI was frequently excised, I am happy to say but little loss, comparatively, was sustained, every advantage being taken to save the men from exposure by lying down and otherwise, to which the accompanying list of killed, wounded and missing will bear testimony.
