Quarters, fuel and medical attendance are alwavs provided by the Government without deduction Irom the soldier's pay. If a soldier should become disabled in the line of his duties, the law provide for h m a pension, or he mar, 'if ho frefer it, obtain ad mission into the Military Asylum, which will afford him a comfortable home so longa he raar wish to receive its benefit. To the above pay for private soldiers must be added the additional $2 a month tobe paid during service, the $100 bounty at the end of the war, which has already been provided for, and the quarter section of land that Congress will provide for at it coming potion. The bounty and land apply to officers and primte alike.
