The Tribune's cor respondent saya: Delegation from A great u umber of business interests are here each suggesting a modification of the tax bill in it form. Concessions have alreidy been m tdeinthe iron makers in m.ikiug the tax specific instead of ad valorem; to the newspaper making tlie adver tisement tax three instead of tive per cent., and on net receipt instead of gross; to tobacconists, reducing it on leafand stem and raising it on the manufacture; to the coal oil distillers, who will be destroyed by the combination of the rack oil combined with the tax proposed; to umbrella and parasol, a change from specific to five per cent, advaloreni; to hoop and skirt the same, and to omnibuses entire freedom from the tax on passengers. It was shown that it would be fatal to them in competition with the horse railroads. Tlie tax has also been stricken off from the manufacture of flour. Thi was done by a delegation of the Kochester miller?, who showed that it would be fatal to their bu-iness. All along the line affected bv the reciprocity treaty the tax
