Quartern, fuel and medical attendance nrealwavs provided by the Government without deduction trom the soldier's pay. If a soldier should become disabled in the line of his duties, the law provides for h m a pension, or he may, if lie prefer it, obtain admission into the Military Asylum, which will afford him a comfortable home so long as he may wish to receive its benefits. To the above pay for private soldiers must le added the additioaal $2 u month tobe paid during service, the $100 bounty at the end of the war, which has already been provided for, and the ijuarter section of" land that Congress w ill provide for at its coming session.
