Multitudes can, by the aid of the remedy, spare themselves from the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system w ill strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assisted to do this through the natural channels of the boly by an alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores; clean-e it when you Mud it isobtnicted and nlugish in the veins; cleanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even w!'erc no particular tiaorder is felt, people enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is we'l; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or later something must go wrong, and the great machinery of life is disordered or overthrow n. Sarsanarilla has. ami deserves, much the reputation of accompli?hing these ends. Hut the world has been egregiously deceived by preparations of it, partly because the drug alone has not all the virtue that is claimed for it, but more because many preparation, pretending to he concentrated extracts ofit, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla, or anything else. During late years the public have been misled bv large bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of the.-e have been frauds njon the pick, fur they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but often no curative properties whatever. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the ue of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla which liood the market, until the name "umjIi is justly de-p!sed. and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which tests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it his virtues which are irresistible by the ordinary run of the diseases it is intended to cure. In order to secure their complete eradication from the system, the remedy should be judiciously taken according to directions on the bottle. PRPAKF1 BY mi. .7. V. Judc David .TIcDonntdf one of themot eminent lawyers of the State, volunteered the follow in, ecommentiation of the work: STATcnrs or I.vniAA, by Oavdt A IIord. Some month? ago, the above named peiitlemen Issued proposals for pul hhintr, in tw o volumes octavo of some M0 pages each, al the statutes of the State passed sii;ce 1SÖ1, w ith annotations. The tirst volume of the work i now published; and the manner of its execution, both mechanically and editorially, deserves the thanks of the profession. The imjHTfect manner of publishing our statutes under State autliority, has always been a source of great inconvenience to the Indiana Lawyer. The revision of 1SÖ2, as well as the Matute passed since that J'ear, r.iiiht almost a well have been published without any Index. Up tc thiMime the lawyer has constantly been under the necessity of turning over, leaf by leaf, the volumes o our statutes to rind any particular enactment. And every one know show annoying and provoking thi I. especially in the hurry of business a in our Courts. Happily f.r the j T"fessu,n, the publication under consideration promise!' a better state of things in the future. The tir.-t volume o Jlrs-rs. Gavin & Hord's work contains an e.xrellen I and copious index, which to every practicing lawyer in the täte is itself worth the money which the volume co-ts. The volume under review contains another excellence Mlits paes are suppliedwith valuaHe marginal indices, tothat a platice at the marzin is suliicicnt to apprise the eaderof the contents of the paire. Another matter of Rreat importance to the lawyer in thisM'lumc is a nl collection of the suljects of all lesislatioii Kince 1S1. Heretofore, the lawyer in examining ot.r lrtr!latioii on any piven suttject bad tir-t to find what w as relevant toil in the Revision of 12, and then to turn over the pavres of the volumes of subsequent Statute., to ee bow far recent legislation may have rejMaled ormjil'Bed the provisions contained in that Revision, and even then be would f:en feel doubt whether be bad found all the legislation on the subject of his inquiry. Messrs. tJavin and Herd have relieved us of all tins trouble and doubt. They have collected together in consecutive paj;es all the statutes made since IsäI. on the same subject. Thus. pa,es 373 to 377 of their first volume they have collected all our Ici-lation, now in force, on the subject o husband and wife, tncludii.tf t he act ofls2 and three act' of ls."7. And they have fr-Unwed the same mode o coocation. In appropriate consecutive pa'es, in regard to all tthet t"p!C of legislation. A still more valuable feature are the copious and accurate notes coi.ti.ii.ed in the volume in qu.-ti.n. This volume includes the Constitution of the United State., tbt Constitution f Indiana, and several import.mt act oi Viririnia aiwl statutes of Coticre, an 1 a larre p-ni"n o enr own statutes now in force. The numerous decision o the Courts i n the various pDviioiisroriiasnediii the Con.-tis tuti'.ns and statute- are foujl at the bottom of the appropriate pae, in the form of neat, bn f and accurate tmteand referenc'. Messrs. Gavin A Honl seem to have performed this part of their work exceedingly well. It must haecwt them much care and labor. By it they Lav? K'eat'y lessened the labor of the practising lawyer, and have well merited bis pratefnl approval. In every resju-tt the vilumeu:eler review is highly redital le to the diiiiirewe, accuracy, talenu and the taste u it editor, as well a to the mechanical skill and ueatnesof its publishers, and t must raise the ju-t expectation ol th profe.ion. a to the value of the second volume, which we undeiMaiid will 1 forthcoming in a few month, and which will contain the code of plea lit. n and practice o l.s-V. w ith b-euent aT&enJmejits ani other statutes.
