If a soldier should become disabled in the line of his duties, the law provides for h in a pension, or he may, if he prefer it, obtain ad mission into the Military Asylum, which will nflbrd him a comfortable home so long as he may wish to receive its benefits. To the above pay for private soldiers must le added the additioaal $3 a month tobe paid during service, the $100 bounty at the end of the war, which has already been provided for, and the quarter section of land that Congress will provide for at its coming session. The bounty and land apply to officers and privates alike.
