Ayer's Sarsaparilla A compound remedy, designed to the most effectual Alterative that can be made. It is a concentrated extract of Para Sarsaparilla, o tonibinel with other substances of ptill preater alterative power a to afford an effective antidote lor the di.-easts Sarsaparilla is leputed to cure. It is believed that such a remedy id wanted by thoe who suffer from Strumous complaints, and that one which will accomplish their cure must prove of immense service to this large class of our afilictcl fellow citizens. How completely this compound will do it has been proven by experiment on many of the w orst cases to be fuund of the following complaints: SCROPTLA AND ScROFVLOVS COMPLAINTS, ErLPTIONR AND KRIPTIVE DlSE-VsTS, ULCERS, PlMPLEH, ItLOTCHEs, Tumors, Salt Hheum, Scald Head, Syphilis and Sypiiiilitic Affections, Merf i rial Disease. Dropsy, Neuralgia or TicDouloureaux, Debility, Dys.pepsia and Indigestion, Erysipleas, ioz or St. Anthony's Fire, and indeed the whole class of complaints arising from Impurity or the 1lood. This compound will be found a great promoter of health, when taken in the spring, to cx-el the foul humors which fester in the blood at that season of the year. By the timely expulsion of them many rankling disorders are nipped in the bud. Multitudes can, by the aid of .the remedy, spare themselves from the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system will strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assisted to do this through the natural channels of the body by an alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores; cleanse it when you lind it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins; cleanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, people enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is vre'I; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or laU r something must go wrong, and the great machinery of life is disordered or overthrown. Sarsaparilla has. and deserves, much the reputation of accomplishing these ends. But the world lias been cjn-edouslv deceived by prepara

tions of it, partly because the drug alone has noti

all the virtue that is claimed for it, but more because many preparations, pretending to be concentrated extracts of it, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla, or anything eli-c. During late years the public have been misled br large bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of theehave been framla upon the pick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but oftcu no curative properties whatever. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the use of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla which Mood

the market, until the name itself is j ustly despised, and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which rests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it has virtues which are irresistible by the ordinary run of the diseases it is intendedto cur. In order to secure their complete eradication from the system, the remedy should be judiciously talHro according to directions on the bottle. PREPARED BT DK. J. C. AVER fc CO. LOWELL, 3IASS. Price Si per nottle' Six llottle for 5 Ayer's Cherry Pectoral has won lor itself such a renown for the cure of every variety of Throat and Lung Complaints; that it is entirely unnecessary for us to recount the evidence of its virtues, wherever it has been employed. As it has long been in constant use throughout this pect ion, we ueed not do more than assure the people its quality is kept up to the best it ever has been, and that it may be re lied on to do for their relief all it has ever been found to do. That we reifUrm sxd er.Jyrt the political pnnctples that from tin to tim hat tee put forth by the National Conventione of the Democratic prtJ2. That we are 'unalterably attache! to th Constitution, by hich the Union of these States was formed atd eUbhbed; aud that a faitiifbl olseTTance of its principles can alone rontinut the existence of the Union, and the permanent hapiiieis of the people. 3. That tbe present civil mr has mainly re-mlte-i from the lon cxntinued, unwise, and fa natical agitation, iu tL North, of tbe question of domestic til-wery, the consequent organization f a geogmph'cl party, guided by t!.e ectlonsl platforms adopted at Buffalo, PitUburgh, Philadelphia, and Chicaco, and the development thereby of sectional hate and jealour, producing (a bad long been foreein and predicted by us) ita counterpart in the South of revexsion, disunion, and armed re-'sUnc to the Clet.eral Coercmeut, and terminating in a blody strife between tboe who should have been forever ton ml togetLer tr fraternal bonds, thua bringicc upon tb bole country a calamity which are now to ueet as loyal citizens, ftnvinfc for the adoption of that mode of ftetllenient best calculated to acain restore union and harmony. 4. That in rejecting all propcaitions likely to result in a saiiitactory aJju.-tmei.t of tbe matters In dispute between the North and the South, and especially those measures which would have secured the border slave States to the Union, and a heart v co operation on their part in all constitutional and legal measures to procure a return of the more Southern States to their allegiance, tie Republican party auniei a fearful rponiInlity, and acted in total disregard of the best interets of the whole couutry. 5. That if the party in power had shown the same desire to settle, by tm'caole adjustment, our internal dissensions before hostilities bad actually commenced, that the Administration has recently exhibited to avuid a war with cur ancient enemy. Great Britain, we confUetstly believe that petce and harmony would now rcin throughout all our border. 6. That the maintenance of the Union ti;ou 1 the principles of the Federal Ciitituüon should be the coutrollinp oLject of all ho profe loyalty to the t"o em ment and in our judgment this purpose can n!y be accomplihed, by the ascendency of a Union p:u"ty in the Suthern States, which shall, by a counter revolution, di place thoe who control and direct tb present rebellion. That no effort to create or stotain such a party can be successful w hich is not based upon a definite settlement of th questions at insu be. tween the two sections; and we therefore demand that some such settlement be made by additional constitutional guaranty, either initiated bv act of Congress or through the medium of a National Convention. 7. That the Republican party has fully demonstrated its inability to conduct the Government through its present difficulties. 8. That we are utterly opposed to the twin here-ies. Northern sectionalism and Southern secession, as inimical to the Constitution; and that freemen, as they value the boon of civil liberty and the peace of the country, ahould frown indignantly upon them. 9; That in this national emergency the Democracy of Indiana, baniiing all feeliuj: of pasion and" resentment, will recollect only their duty to the whole country ; that this war should not be waged in the spirit of conpuet or subjugation, nor for the purpose of overthrowing or interfering with the tights or institutions of the States, but to defend and maintain the supremacy of tbe Constitution, aud to preserve the Union with all the dignity, equality and rights of the several Slates unimpaired; and that as soon as these objects are accomplished th virwbt to rcaaC. 10. That we will sustain, with all our energies, a war for tbe maintenance of the Constitution, and ol the integrity of the Union under the Constitution ;but we are opposed to a war for tbe emanci pation of the negroes, or the subjugation of the Southern States. 11. That the purposes avowed and advocated by the Northern disunionisti , to liberate and arm the negro slaves, is unconstitutional, insulting to loyal citizens, a disgrac to the age, is calculated to retard tbe suppt ession of the rebellion and meets our unqualified condemnation. 12. That the total disregard of tbe writ of Adbeat corpus by tbe authorities over u, and the seizure and imprisonment of the citizens of loyal States where tbe judiciary is in full operation, without warrant of law and without assign lag any cause or giving to the party arrested any opportunity of defense, are flagrant violations of the Con eiitutiou and most alarming act of usurpation of power, which should receive the stern reouke of every lover of his country and of everv man who prizes the security and blessings of life, liberty and propertv. 13. That liberty of speech and of the pre are guaranteed to the jeoplc by the Constitution, and none but a usurper would deprive them of these rights; they arc inestimable to the citizen and formidable Ui tyrants only. And the attempts which have been mde since our present unfortunate troubles, to muzzle tbe press and stifle free difcussion, are exercises of despotic power sgaintt which lreodora revolts and which can not be tolars.ted without converting freemen into slaves. 14. That the seizure of Slidell snd Mason, en board a neutral vesel, on the high seas, wa either in accordance with international law, and so legal; or else in violation ol such law, and wo illegal. If the former, w lament that our nation has been humiliated by their surrender, tinder threat; if the latter, it was the duty of the Ad ministration at once to have disavowed the act of their officer, and instead of incarcerating tbeca;w tires in Fort Warren, to have immediately tepaired the wrong by placing them, aa far as prac tic-able, in the same conditiou in which that officer had found them. !i. either event, the action of the Administration a vacillating nd cow ardly.and degrading to the dignity of a great nation. 15. That the action of the Republican party, as manifested in the partisan character of all ap pointmenu of the Administration to civil offne; and, in holding party caucuses by the Republican members of Congress for the purjose of impressing upon the legislative action of that l-ody th peculiar dogmas of that party , have demonstrated that tbeir professions ol "sacrificing party platforms, and party organizations, upon the altar of their country," are but so many hypocritical and false pretence by which tbey hope to du; the unwary into tbeir support; and we warn all loyal rerotis, as they love their country, not to be deceived thereby. 16. That the disclosures made by th investigating committee in Congress of the enonnoiis fraud that have stalked into the army and navy department", implicating the heads of those d part men ts in a connivance at, if not an actual participation in a svstem of corruption, and in which our brave so!diers have been defrauded of their proper supplier, and our Government threat ened with bankruptcy, demands a thorough Investigation into all our expenditure, both State and National, and that a ppeedy and marked example be made of all such "bird of rrey,M who. taking advantage of th necessities of our ouu try, have fed and fattened upon public pleader. Resolred. That the meritorious conduct of the Indiana troop, in every battle field where victory has petxhel upon the national banner, has filled the people of this State with tb hijbeat gratitude t her gallant sons, an 1 thai tc send our let wishes toorficers and men.d:rrd throughout the country, and the he-irtfeil jrreeuns of every Democrat for their further btillunt cbiTments in th coming contests for th raaizte&aac cf tit Constitution ni th Unvn ALE.
