Ayer's Sarsaparilla A comjounl remevly, de.igned to he the most effectual AUeratire that can be unde. It is a concentrated extract of Para Sarsa pari 11a, ?o coinMned with other substances of still greater alterative power a to afl'ord an eil'ective antidote for the di.-e isCi Sarj' iparilla i ieputed to cure. It is believed that uch a remedy is wanted by those who suffer from Strumous complaints, and that one which will accomplish their cure must prove of immense service to this large class of our afflicted fellow citizen. How completely this compound will do it has been proven by experiment on many of the worst cases to be found of the following complaints: ScKort LA A'D Scrofulous Complaints, Eei pTION8 AND KrI PTIVE DlSEAStS, UlCIRM, TlMPLLS, BuoTCHts, Timors, Salt Hiiti M, Scald Head, Syphilis ad SrnniLiTic Affections, Mirclrial Disease. Droist, Xeikaloia or TicDoi'LotREAi'x, Dfbilitt, Dyspepsia and Indigestion, Euykiplea?, Hose or St. Anthony's FiRr, and indeed the whole class of complaints arising; front Imitrity of the Hlood. This comiound will be found a great promoter of health, when taken in the spring, to expel the foul humors which fester in the blood at that season of the year. By the timely expulsion of them many rankling disorder are nipped in the bud. Multitudes can, by the aid of the remedy, spare themselvei from the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous nores, through which the system will strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assisted to do this through the natural channels of the body by an alterative medicine. Cleanso out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores; cleanse it when you find it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins: cleanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, people enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is well; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there cau be no Listing health. Sooner or later something must go wrong, and the great machinery of life is disordered or overthrown. Sarsaparilla has. and deserves, much the reputation of accomplishing these ends. But the world has been egregiouslv deceived by preparations of it, partly because the drug nlone has not all the virtue that is claimed for it, but more because many preparations, pretending to be concentrated extracts of it, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla, or anything else. During late years the public have been misled bv large bottles, pretending to give a quart of E"xtract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of these have been frauds upon the sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but often no curative properties whatever. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the use of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla which fiood the market, until the nameitself is justly despised, and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which tests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it has virtues which are irresistible by the ordinary run of the diseases it is intended to cure. In order to secure tbeir complete eradication from the jvstem, the remedy should be

judiciously taken according to directions on the

Re sol ted, 1. That we rex firm and erdorte tbe political principles that from time to time bsve teen put forth by the National Convention of the Democratic party. 2. That we are 'unalterably attached to the Constitution, by which tbe Union of these Sitte was fcrmed and established; and that a faithful observance of its principle can alone continue the exwtcr.ee of the Union, and the peTatnent bappioe of the people. 3. That the present civil war has mainly resulted frora tbe long continued, unwise, aad fanatical agitation, in the North, of the question cf domestic slavery, the consequent organization of a reorjaphical party, guided by the fectioml platforms adopted at Buffalo, Putburj;h. Philadelphia, and Chicago, and the development thereby of sectional hate ani jealousv, producing (as had long been foreseen und predicted by us) it counterpart in the South of secession, disunion, and armed resistance to tbe General Gofernment, and terminating in a bloody strife between tboae who should have been forever boui;d together by fratertiai bonds, thus bring in t upon the whole country a calamity which we are now to meet as loyal citizens, striving for the adoption of that mode of settlement best calculated to acaia restore uniou und barmouy. 4. That In rejecting all propositions likely to result in a satisfactory adjustment of tie matters in dispute between the North and th South, and especially thosi measures which would have secured the border slave State to the Union, and a heartv co operation on their part ia all constitutionaf and legal measures to procure a return of the more Southern States to their allegiance, the Republican party assumed a fearful responsibility, and acted in total disregard of the best interests of the whole country. 5. That if the party in power hid t-hown the same desiie to settle, by amicable adjuotment, our internal dissensions before hostilities Ld ac tually commenced, that the Adininutration La recently exhibited to avoid a war with our ancient enemy. Great Britain, we cor.fidmtly be lieve that peace aud harmony would now rvign throughout all our borders. 6. That the maintenance of the Union ujn the principles of the Federal Con.-titution should be the controlling object of all who prüfe loyally to the Government and in our judgment this purpiotve can onlv be ucvoinpli-hed, by tbe ascendency of a Union pitty in the Sjutln-m Stttcs, which hall, by a counter revolution, displace those who control and direct the present rebellion. That to effort to create or sustain such a party can beucc:ful which is not based upon a definite settlement of the questions at issue betweeu the two sections; and we therefore demand that some such settlement be made by additional constitutional guaranty, either initiated bv act of Congress or through the medium of a National Convention. 7. That the Republican party has fully demonstrated its inability to conduct the Government through its present difficulties. b. That we are utterly opposed to the twin hereaies. Northern sectionalism aud Souih-rn recession, as inimical to the Constitution; and that freemen, a they value the boon of civil lib. erty and the peace of the country, should frown indignantly upon them. 9. That in this national emergency tbe Democracy of Indisna, banishing all feeling cf passion and resentment, will recollect only their duty to the whole country; that this war should not be waged in the spirit of conqi:ct or suljugati m, nor for the wurpose of overthrowing or interfering with the rights or institutions of the State, but to defend and maintain the supremacy of tbe Constitution, and to preserve the Union with all the dignity, equality and rights of the several States unimpaired; and that aa soon a these objects are accomplished the war ought to cease. 10. That we will sustain, with all our energies, a war for tbe maintenance of the Constitution, and ol tbe integrity of the Union under the Constitution ; but we are opposed to a war for the emancipation of the negroes, or the subjugation of the Southern States. 11. That the purposes avowed and advocated by the Northern disunion!4, to liberate and arm the negro slaves, is unconstitutional, insulting to loyal citizens, a difgrace to tbe age, is calculated to retard the suppression of the tebelllonand rareta our unqualified condemnation. 12. That the total disregard of the writ of kmbeas corpus by the authorities over us, and the seizure and imprisonment of the citizens of loyal States where the judiciary is in full operation, without warrant of law and without assigning any cause or giving to the party arrested any opportunity of defense, are flagrant violations of the Constitution and most alarming acts of usurpation of power, which should receive the stern rebuke of every lover of his country and of every man who prize the security and blesaingt of life, liberty and propertv. 13. that liberty of speech and of the press are guaranteed to the people by the Constitution, and none but a usurper would deprive them of thee rights; they are inestimable to the citizen and formidable to tyrant ouly.
