Ayer's Sarsaparilla A coniKun'l remcly, ile.-'igned to le the most cirectual AUcratirr thul cm be made. It U a concentrated extract of Para Sarsaparill.i, so conibinetl with uther substaticed of still greater alterative power Hi to aJJurd iin effective antidote for the diseases S.ir-aparilla i teputed to cure. It is I die veil that such a rctrteiy is wante! by those who MitTcr I'rom Strumous cumpldints, and that one which will accomplish their cure must prove of immense service to this Inre class of our afflicted fellow citizens. How completely this compound w ill do it has been proven by experiment on many of the w orst cases to be found of the following complaints: Scrofula am Scnon-Lora Complaints, EbvpTION3 AM) KkPPTIVE DlSLASLS, UlcFR-S, I'lMPLFS, 1'lotciies, Tt Mons, Salt 1'hku.m, Scald Head, Symiilis and Sypihilitic Akflctions, Xlrn rial Disease. Dropsy, Nlikalgia or TicDoiLOlUEAVX, DtHILlTY, I)YSPI1SIA AND InDIgkstiox, Erysitleas, liosK oa St. Axthont's Fire, and imlettd the wliole class of complaints arising from Imflkity ok the Hlood. Tliis compound will be found a reat promoter of health, w hen taken iu the sprinr, to exid the foul humors w hich fester in the blood at that seaSon of the year. ly the timely expulsion of them many rankling disorders arc nipped in the bud. Multitudes can, by the aid of the remedy, pare themselves from the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system w ill strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assistel to do this through the natural channels of the body by an alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the rkin in pimple-, eruptions, or nores; cleanse it when you find it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins: cleanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where n,y particular disorder is felt, people enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is well; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or later something must go wrong, and the great machinery ot life is disordered or overthrown. Sarsaparilla has, and deserve, much the reputation of accomplishing these ends. But the world has been egregiously deceived by preparations of it, partly because the drug nlone has not all the virtue that is claimed for it, but more because many preparations, pretending to be concentrated extracts of it, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla, or anything else. During late years the public have been misled bv large bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of these have been frauds upon the sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but often 110 curative properties whatever. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the u.-e cf the various extracts of Sarsaparilla w hich liood the market, until the name itself is justly despised, ami has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still w e call this compound Sarsaparilla, and ip.tend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which tests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it has virtues which are irristible bv
the ordinary run of the diseases it is intended to cure. In order to secure their complete eradication from the system, the remedy should be judiciously taken according to directions on the bottle. PREPARED BY DK. J. C. AVER & CO. LOWELL, 3IASS. Irlre 1 per Ilottlc; Six Hot ties for 5 Ayer's Cherry Pectoral wh.Ts won tor itself such a renown for the cure of every variety cf Throat and Lung Complaints; that it is entirely unnecessary for us to recount the evidence of its virtues, wherever it has been employed. As it has long been in constant use throughout this section, we need not do more than assure the people its quality is kept up to the best it ever has been, and that it may be re lied on to do for their relief all it has ever been found to do.

Thtt we rearm and er.dore the political principle- that from tit&e to time bate teen put forth by the National Conter-tioo of the Democratic party. 2. That we are'cr.alterably attached to th Constitution, by which the Union of the State was formed and established; and that a faithful bserrance of its principles ran alone continue the existence of the Union, and the TT2r.ert happiness of the people. 3. That the present civil war has ma;n1y ftfulted from the long cor.tinued, unwiee, and fa natical agitation, in the North.-of the question of domestic slavery, the consequent organization of R ceographical party, guided by the sexlional platforms adopted at Buffalo, PitUburgb, Iliila delphia, and Ciiicaco, and the development thereby of section! hate and jealous?, producing (as had long been foreseen a:d predicted by us) ita countctpart in the South of seceVsou, disuuion, and armed re.vsiancc to the General Gov ernu-.errt, and termiratirg in a Moody strife between tho-e who should have been forever bouL-d together by fratertial bends, thus briugine open the hol country a calamity which we are now to meet as loyal citizen, striving for the adoption of that mode of settlement best calculated to aeain restore union and harmony. 4. That in rejecting all propo sitions likely to result in a satisfactory adjustment of the matters iu dispute between the North aud the Sulb, and especially those measures which would have secured the borde- lave States to the Union, and a hearty co operation on th;ir part ia all coi.Jtitutional and iepal measures to procure a return of the more Southern States to their allegiance, the Republican party auraed a fearful responsibility, aud acted in total disregard of the be-t Interests of the mhole country. 5. That if the parly in power hid shown the unie desire to settle, by amicalde adjustment, our internal dissensions before hostilities bad ac tu illy commenced, that the Administration has recently eahibited to avoid a war with cur ancient enemy. Great Britain, we confidently be lieve tliat c.ioe and htrrnony would now reign thrnuctiotil all our Ironien. G. That the miinten nice of the? That no effort to create or sustain such a party can be successful which is not based upon a definite settlement of the questions at iaeue between the two tections; and we therefore demand that some such settlement be made by additional constitutional guaranty, either initiated bv act of Congress or through the medium of a National Convention. 7. That the Republican party has fully demon strated its inability to conduct the Government through its present diCicullies. 8. That we are utterly opposed to the twin heresies, Northern sectionalism and Southern secession, as inimical to the Constitution; and that freemen, as they value the boon of civil liberty and the peace of the country, should frown indignantly upon them. 9. That in this national emergency the Denr:racy of Indiana, banishing all feelinc of pastiou and resentment, will recollect only their duty to the whole country ; that this war fhould not ha waged iu the irit of conquest or subjugation, nor for the purpose of overthrowing cr interfering with the rights or institutions of the State, but to defend and niaintaiu the supremacy t,( the Constitution, and to preserve the Union with all the dignity, equality and righu of the several States unimpaired; and that as soon as these objects are accomplished the war ought to cease. 10. That we will susuin, with ail our energies, a war forttjerrnlntcnance of the Constitution, and ol the integrity of the Union under the CcnttUution ; but we are opposed to a war for the emanci pation of the negroes, or the subjugation of the Southern States. 11. That the purposes avowed and advocated by the Northern disunionUu, to liberate and arm themegro slaves, is unconstitutional, insulting to loyal citizens, a disgrace to the age, is calculated to retard the suppression of the itbellion and meets our unqualified condemnation. 12. That the toul disregard of the writ of habeas corpus by the authorities over us, and the seizure and imprisonment of the citizens of loyal State where the judiciary is in full operation, without warrant of law and without ais'guirj any cause or giving to the ptrty arrested any opportunity of defense, are flagrant violations of the Constitution and most alarming acta of usurpation of power, which t-hould receive the stem rebuke of every lover of his country and of everv man who prizes the security and blessings of life, liberty and profterty. 13. Thatlil-erty of speech and of the press are guaranteed to the people by the Constitution, and none but a usurper would deprive them of these rights; they are inestimable to the citizen and formidable to tyranU only. And the attempts which have been made tince our present unfortunate troubles, to muzzle the press and stille free discussion, are exercises of despotic pow er against which freedom revolts and which can not be tolerate! without converting freemen into slaves. 11. That the seizure of Slidell and Mason, on board a neutral vessel , on the b'gh seas, was either in accordance w ith international law, tnd so legal; or ele in violation of such law, and o illegal. If the former, we lament that our nation has been humiliated by their surrender, under a thrtat; if the latter.it was the duty of the Ad ministration at once to have disavow ei the act of their officer, and instead of incarcerating the captive in Frt Wrrent to have immediately re paired the wrong by placing them, as far as practicable, in the same condition in which that ffi cer had found them. In either event, the action of the Administration was vacillating and cow ardly.and degrading to the dignity of a great na tion. 15. That the action of the Republican rwrty, a manifeted iu the partisan character of all ap jiointmetits of the Administration to civil ofhc, and, in holding party rau'-tHe by the Ropub'i'aii rnerrbcrs of Congrcs for the purpose of im pre-sing upon the legislative action of that body the peculiar dogmas of that party, hat e de mon-tra'tcd that their professions ol "sacrificing party platforms, and party organizations, upon the altar of their cuntry," are but so mtr.y hypocritical and fale pretences by which they hope to dupe the unwary into their support; and we warn all loyal pervotta, as the) love the'r country, not to be deceived thereby. 16. That the disclosures nnde by the luvestl gating committee in Congress of the enormous frtuda that have stalked into the amy and nary departments, implicating the ltfctds of those de partmenU in a connivance at, if not an actual participation in a system of corruption, and in which our brave soldiers bare been defrauded of their prt f-er supplier and our Government threat ened with btnkruptcy, demands a thorough in -estimation into all ojr expenditure, both Stave and National, and that a speedy and mtrked example be made of all nach "btrdof prey," who, taking advantage of the reoestaities of our toun try, bare fed and fattened upon public plunder. Resoled.
