The j! tve- rade men of the South hare achieved their obtect; what can they complain of? The ami fugitive slave-law men of the North bare a^eved theirs; should they not be satisfied? Two years ago the New York Tribune claimed that its weekly edition had attained a eueulatioD of 179,000. Its claim now is that the ctrculation of its weekly edition is l&MOO. If it mom claims no more than the troth, the diminution in tare years hat been 26,000, or at tha rate of 13^00 a year, or more than 1,000 par month- This is a significant sign of tho times. The Tnhrntt is the great V'pTg newspaper organ of the Black Republicans, and its ctrculation is a sort of thermometer of the rise or decline of Black Republicanism. It would hare been an ugly tact if its circulation had increased 25,000 or 30,000 during the two year*. We could not have accounted for it except by conceding that its party was rapidly growing. It ia a gratifying fact that while the circulation of the T rtfmne has l>een declining, that ef leading Democratic journals has been steadily advancing. The circulation of the Sentinel has increased within the past two years, and we chance to know that many of the subscribers of oar weekly edition were formerly subscribers of the New York T-ihune. We predict that the decline of the Tribune during the next two years will be very much greater than at the rate of 1,000 a month. W e can not too earnestly urge active Democrats everywhere to encourage the circulation of Democratic papers. They can not so effectually serve the Democratic cause in any other way. fn no other way can the black cloud of abolitionism, which has jestled over the Northern States, be dispelled. The weekly edition of the Sevtiml ought to have a circulation of twenty thousand in this State. Shall it not have? Preredemts ff*v ttae Metal** Cta**«B*atta
