Th« Musi cat. Treat.—This evening, at Masonic Hall, the music loving portion of our community will be favored with a riel treat. Mad'lle Valery Gomes, a distinguished caatatrice from the most celebrated Operas in Spain and Italy, and more recently from tha Italian Opera, Castle Oard©n,New York, will give a grand vocal and instrumental Concert, assisted by, Mods. Ferdinand Musard, a distinguished pianist. The Kastem papers speak in laudatory terms of these artistes. They recently gave two concerts in Buffalo, and were received by the audiences with enthusiastic applause. The Evyrrsa says the high reputation ofM’lie Valery Gomez was fully sustained by her efforts in that city. Heryouth, her modest demeanor, her graceful and agreeable appearance, her expressive and handsome features, united with great talents, equal if not her superior to any of the musical stars of Kurope, give lawful claim to the enthusitio reeption she met with in New York. Madam Rosa Dk Vhiks.—The concert of this distinguished artiste and troupe will be given to-morrow evening at Masonic Hall. We had never before heard such bursts of rich, pure melody fall from her lips. Her Casta Piva was one of the meat exquisite, most powerful, and most inspiring executions that we thought wo had ever listened t‘.>. Time may have blunted somewhat our recollection as Jenny Lind’s excellencies in the aria, hut certainly while the charm of Rosa’s voice fell upon the ear, on Thursday, we thought she even excelled the Swedish Nightingale. Her grace, notes, and ascents and descents on the scale, the sudden and immense trausitions to the extremities of the gamut, were rendered one and all with extraordinary ease and correctness; while the softness, and purity, and pathos, which characterized her intona-
