THE SCHOOLS.

The city teachers met in regular session this morning at High School Hall. Supt. Wiley read a summary of the reports for •September, showing increased attendance this year in all departments. Miss Lottie Miller, a pupil of the high school, favored the meeting with a very beautiful instrumental solo. Supt. Wiley gave a very entertaining paper on the Northwest territory, illustrated by a fine set of maps. The teachers of Harrison township were enrolled to meet with the city teat:hers. Prof. Gardiner and two assistants of Logansport were present. They wero in the city yesterday visiting our schools. Visitors will be welcome at all times. These meetings occur regularly on the second Saturday of the school month.
