There will be preaching three times at 11 a. m., 3 and 7 u. m. Bible lesson at 1 p. m. Rev. R. Bassett, pastor The emancipation proclamation celebration will prove a success. They have a good committee who are taking great interest and are sparing no time, and it is hoped that every colored man, woman and child do all they can to make the 23d one of the grandest days in the history of the colored people in this city.. .There will not be any service at the Seventh street Baptist church to-morrow on account of the camp meeting .... Rev. Alexander Smith will leave soon to attend the annual conference at Marion, Indiana.
Mr. Wiley Teller is expecting to go to Chicago, HI., soon Let every colored famuy, every place of business conducted by colored people be decorated on the 23d and show our colors The camp meeting will be conducted for three weeks with great interest with good preaching and singing Let every colored man go in the procession on the 23d The Union Literary Society of the A. M. E.
