IN FAVOR OF A FREE FERRY. One of the most enterprising firms fn the city and one that can never be found complainingof hard times, is that of Stein & Hecklesberg, the popular shoe men. While their contemporaries are complaining they are employing a double force—one to handle the trade of the sea son and the Other to arrange their fall stock of boots and shoes, the style and extent of which has never before been seen in this market. Beside the staples in their line they will carry this fall a thoroughly complete and inexhaustible line of all "the latest novelties in footwear. They also show their belief in the rights of the people by favoring a free ferrv.
