THE CIRCUIT COURT IN SESSION THIS MORNING
The Lawyers Engage in a Few Diversions at Each Other's Expense.
The Circuit Court opened its session this morning at nine o'clock, tLe room being comfortably filled, and the bar •well represented.
Judge H. D. Scott presided and gave general satisfaction to the bar and spectator®.
The calling of the docket proceeded for about half an hour amid great turmoil when Mr. Hack arose and said: "Tour HoBor, owing to the general confusion, aud disturbance prevailing in this room. I suggest that a baliff be appointed to pre serre order. Egotistical members of the Chicago Bar come down here and lounge and twist around in their chairs, making noise enough to drive a patient man in sane." R. 8. Mr. Rhodes agreed with him. that a handkerchief was an indispensihle article and that he ilways carried ofce with hint
Mr, SggleSton suggested that a page be appointed to run errands for the members and cellect papers as he would be small and move around without creating auy disorder.
Mayor Havens was 4gafoat the appoint ment of a baliff at t!he door he said there never was order in the Court, and that a baliff Was badly wanted inside th4 railing. It was not so much the. spectat ors as the members of the Bar that are ated the confusion. tr £.
