Twenty-six cities were rep resented. aud a growing interest reported Applications for membership were coin lug in faat, and it ii thought that at the next convention which meets it Brook lyn, N. Y., every city having the free de livery system will be represented. One of the objects is to provide for the fami lies of members in case of death, the sum of $1,000 being paid, made up by an as aessment of $1.00 per member, and it speaks well for the health of the carriers of the United States that not one assess ment has yet been made, although it has been ia operation one year.
