The indications are that Garfield's majority in the State will not be less than 80,000. and may exceed 40 000|| $§, The returns from 860 precincts received at 10 p. m., comprising abput one-fifth of the State, give a net Republican gain of of over 4,000 over the vote for Governor, in 1879, when the Republican majority in in the State was 17,000. CHTCAOO, NOV. 2.—Thirty precincts in various parts of NorUiern Iowa, show a net Republican gain of 1,025 over the vote of 4875. These predncts cast not quite 5 per cent, of the vote of the State. Similar galas throughout the State will give from 45,000 to 50,000 Republican majority over both Hancock and Weaver. Twenty three other precincts gave a net gain of 425.V.U
