DISCOVERY OF A CARD WITH A SUPPOSED MKSSAOE FROM HIM. CHICAGO, October 28.—Among a lot of old bottles which were being cleaned in a Chicago liquor store yesterday, one was found which contained a card water soak»*1 and yellow* on which was penciled the following message: f. "The hurricane tS upott tis. Our sand is all xhausted. Ast few momenta and tl balloon will be in the water. Tell Barnum to give the balance of my salary to Molly, Grimswood behaved nobly.
The Writing was dim. but still legible. The signature was compared with one which Donaldson had written carefully, and they were found to agre^in every important particular, almost the only difference being that the signature on the card had been hastily scrawled. Several person* familiar with Donaldsaa's writing pronounced the card genuine, among others J. a Thdtnaa who was Donald»uo's press ageal when he made his last lie believed the note to ion. be genuine, and explained that the "Mol ly" opoken of was Bamum's highieet-aal ari»*tf hurtlle rider, and to whom Donald ton was engageed. The kt of old bottles among which this note was found had been purchased or a junk dealer, who says th«o were gathered about the city in the year 1875. August IS of that year Donaldson and Grimswood made their fatal voyage.
