Those who wish to hear, find fault with this, and those who have any respect for either themselves or the public will not indulge in this sort of action. j, —Quite alively racket occured in front of the National house about 7 o^clock yesterday evening. The doctor who is selling patent mediciue on the corner of 4th and Main streets was standing in front of the hotel and a bar tender, employed at a sa loon on Main street walked up to him and demanded satisfaction for an insult offered his sister in Indianapolis. —The Democrats who were howling around the streets Saturday about the Re publican police, were so fearful that a democrat violator of the law would bear rested that they put themselves to a vast amount of unnecessary trouble. Dr. Van Valcah with his followers followed a policeman and prisoner to the Station house, where he demanded the release of the latter and threatened to destroy the station bouse if his orders were not list ened to. The greatest part of the joke is that the prisoner was a Republican.
