The F. M. C. met at their aecustifthed place last night and as it was generally understood that the high cock alorum was to make a speech, the News man quietly crept into his box and waited for the fun. As the greater portion of tJie members had been pressing hriok all day and were consequently tired, it was late before a quorum was announced. The first thing in order wjis reading the minutes of the last meeting, this being done, it was moved by the Anti-fat man that so much of the record as pertained to bad smellg should be stricken out. This motion was opposed by tire fat man w.th the mansard roof above his eye, on the ground that the words Democratic party and bad smells were synonomous, and could not exist a part without destroying the time bearing and dignity of the Democratic party, after considerable discussion in which the words liar, thief, shyster and such tender epithets were freely used, the club.agreed 011 the following substitute for the minute of the previous meeting as read by the secretary:

Fat Men's Club met promptly at. 1 o'clock on the morning of the 28 of Oct. The members generally supposed themselves to own the State of Indiana, and the Democratic party!^ They we if all joyful and full of glory .-

We will bust up the government and hang the rebel llag in the court house square. Men who have Ur work ought'nt to live, is our motto. Under this black Republican rule the poor man who labors hard has his pockets full of money and his family lives peacefully and happily. We want a change, we men who put in our time holding up lamp posts through the day and forty drinks every night, must see to it that Hancock is elected. [A voice, let's take a drink.] I say we must have a change. There is too much prosperity and happiness among our people. [A voice from the outside, hurrah for Garfield.] say to you this tariff must lie stoppedV Wen want just such tariff as will let England bring her products here, so that .home industries will be crushed and these men who labor will have to starve.
