The probabilities are that the Constitutional Amendments are carried by majorities of ten thousand. At 2 p. m. nothing more definitely known as to the local tickets than given in the morning papers.

April 6.—Wayne township,

and in the city of Ft. Wayne, ten precincts in all, went Republican by 900 majority. The amendments by 1,200. Considerable gain.

EVANSVIIXE, -April 6.-—The lnrgest vote ever cast. The rffturns indicate that the Democrats elect the Mayor, Marshal and three councilmen the Republicans, elect the Clerk, Treasurer and three oouncilmen.

Marion county resulted favorably to the Republicans, as usual. In the city of Indianapolis the entire Republican ticket was elected by majorities ranging from 600 to 1,000. Center township endortted the amendments by nearly 4,000.

A special to thq» Indianapolis Journal gives an account of riot and bloodshed which occurred at the polls at Shelbyville on yesterday. A set of J)cmocratift bullies and shoulder hitters indulged in their favo^te pastime of assaulting colored voters. Shelby county is sustaining Us reputation as the "Yaaoo of Indiana.

The Indianapolis Journal says at Richmond the Republicans took no*Interest in the amendments. The clause its to registration has been* defeated and some others are in doubt. This does not look well for Wayne county Republicans. The Republican ticket, except for constable, was elected by an increased majority.

***-Last Thursday, afternoon a welldressed stranger hired the buggy and harness belonging to the Crapo House, saying he had a horse and wanted to use the buggy several hours. As he did not return the buggy, the proprietors became uneasy and sent the officers in search of the missing property. They telegraphed to various points in the vicinity without success finally Mr. Barber, one of the proprietors, wertt in search of them, and after several days absence a telegram was received from him stating thai he had recovered thepropertv. The telegram was sent from I&dmond, Ills., and did not state whether or not the thief had been captnred. It is suoposed that the horse was obtained iff the same way. Mr. Barber will be home with the property to-
