Ring Humbert as a Hunter.
Not long ago King Humbert surpassed Victor Emmanuel’s achievements as a hunter of the stambecco. Now at Amerls, near Cuneo, the royal party has killed seventy chamois in one day, of which fifty-one fell to King Humbert’s rifle. The old mountaineers declare that such an occurrence has only happened once before, when King Victor Emmanuel, in the same Valley of Amerls, killed forty-four chamois. King Humbert has, therefore, broken the chamois record also.
