A Shark for Jailer.
Jailer Jacqmain has hit upou a novel idea to keep young boys from escaping from the city jail. The boys usually drop into the river and swim ashore. He proposes to buy a man-eating shark and chain him to a post under the jail. He will only give the shark enough to eat to keep him alive, and he will be a brave boy indeed who will risk being eaten by a hungry shark to gain his liberty. Any one having a shark for saie should notify the jailer, who will try to induce the board of public work* to purchase one for this purpose.
