( ) admits that 201 new mills have been establishe lini ths country since the passage of the Wilson tariff, 38 of which are wooien, 73 cotton, 57 knitting, 16 silk, and 17 miscellaneous.” It has also been forced to admit that there has been a increase in wages in the cotton and woolen industries an I that the demand for their goods is unexampled.
