Annual Meeting of the State Syn od on October 9 and 10, in Logansport, lhe annual meeting of the Syn-. od of Indiana of tbe Presbyterian church will be held in this city at the First Presbyterian church October Bth, 9th and 1 oth. The members of the First Presbyterian and Broadway churches have made preparations for a good meeting, and it is thought that a large number of the ministers of the state will attend, probably two hundred. Among the promin nt ministers who Lave responded to the invitation to attend and address the gathering are the Kev Dr Brown, of New York City; the Etev. Dr Haines, of Indianapolis, and th.*. Rev. Dr. Burroughs, ol Wabash college, Crawfordsville.
