Three Hundred Leading Jurists of the United States Gather at Detroit. An intellectual looking assembly of 300 leading jurists and niMafes of the bar was present in Y. M. C. A. Hall, Detroit, when President James C. Carter, of New York, order the eighteenth annual convention of the American Bar Association. After thanking the Detroit representatives of the profession for the cordial receptions tendered the' visitors, the President read a short list of the most noted jurists present, who were invited to seats upon the platform.
